AGE LIMIT
Minimum Age : 18 years
Maximum Age : 25 years
Age Limit (as on 01/04/2025)
The upper age-limit prescribed above will be relaxable:
(a) up to a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe;
(b) up to a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates;
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
Syrang of Lascars
10th pass from a recognised Institute or Board.
Syrang Certificate granted under Inland Vessels Act, 1917 or Merchant Shipping Act, 1958.
Two years’ experience as Syrang-in-Charge of a registered vessel of twenty horse power.
Lascar-l
10th pass from a recognised Institute or Board.
Knowledge of swimming.
One-year experience on a registered vessel.
Fireman (Boat Crew)
10th pass from a recognised Institute or Board.
Knowledge of swimming.
Certificate of having completed a pre-sea training course.
Topass
10th pass from a recognised Institute or Board.
Knowledge of swimming.
