AGE LIMIT

For the Post SI Post Age Between 22-28 years

For the Post of HC & Constable Age Between 20-25 years

Age relaxation permissible beyond the upper age limit SC / ST Candidates have 05 Years & OBC Candidates have 03 Years

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

SI (Master)

i) 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University:and
ii) 2nd class master certificate issued by Central/State Inland

 SI ( Driver)

 i) 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
 and
 ii) 1 class engine driver certificate issued by Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority/Mercantile Marine Department.

HC(Master)

i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and
 i) Serang Certificate

HC (Engine Driver)

i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent, and 
ii) Possessing 2" class Engine Driver certificate.

HC (Workshop)

i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and 
ii) Industrial Training Instituted Diploma in Motor Mechanic (Diesel/Petrol Engine), Electrician, AC Technician, Electronics Machinist, Carpentry & Plumbing for the post of HC (Workshop) Mechanic (Diesel/Petrol Engine), HC (Workshop) Electrician, HC (Workshop) AC Technician, HC (Workshop) Electronics, HC (Workshop) Machinist, HC (Workshop) Carpenter and HC (Workshop) Plumber from a recognized Institution respectively.

Constable (Crew)

i) Matriculation from a recognized Board equivalent, and  
ii) One year experience in operation of Boat below 265 HP:
iii) Should know swimming in deep water without any assistance.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS

Height : 162.5CM

Chest : Unexpanded 75cm & Expanded 80cm

Weight : Proportionate to age & Height

PHYSICAL TEST


1. One mile race in 08 minutes

2. High Jump:-03 feet & 06 inches in 03 chances

3.Long Jump:-11 feet in 03 chances

Apply Mode : Online

 Application by candidates must be submitted through online mode only. No other mode for submission of application will be accepted. Tho facility for submission of online application will be opened on BSF website https://rectt. bsf.gov. in w.e.f 02.06.2024 at 00.01 AM and will be closed on 01.07.2024 at 23.59 PM.

APPLICATION FEE

Candidates applying for SI (Master/Engine Driver) will pay Rs.200/- (Rupees Two hundred only) and candidates applying for HC (Master/Engine DriverWorkshop) & Constable (Crew) will pay Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) as examination fee through one of the following payment modes. Besides, Rs.47.20/- as service charges will be levied by Common Service Centre (CSc) from every candidate including exempted categories

SC & ST Category are exempted from fee
