Main Instruction
• AFCAT Exam is the Single Exam For All Branch Exam. For Candidates with one of the choices as Technical Branch, Thats Candidates Must be Attent EKT Exam (Engineering Knowledge Test).
• Exam Mode : Online exam at the examination centres.
• Exam Conduct only English Language only.
• The Online examination will consist of objective type questions.
• Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer. One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. No marks for unattempted questions.

General Awareness
- History: Candidates need to have knowledge of important historical events, movements, and personalities from ancient, medieval, and modern Indian history. Topics may include major dynasties, freedom struggle, and post-independence developments.
- Geography: Candidates should be familiar with the physical and political geography of India and the world. Topics may cover continents, countries, capitals, rivers, mountains, important geographical features, and climate patterns.
- Sports: Candidates need to be aware of major national and international sports events, sports personalities, and important achievements in various sports disciplines.
- National & International Organizations: Candidates should have knowledge of prominent national and international organizations, such as the United Nations, World Bank, IMF, NATO, and their roles and functions.
- Art & Culture: Candidates need to be familiar with Indian art, classical dance forms, music, architecture, literature, and cultural heritage. Topics may include famous artists, writers, musicians, and significant art forms.
- Personalities: Candidates should be aware of important personalities in various fields, such as politics, science, sports, literature, and entertainment.
- Environment & Ecology: Candidates should have a basic understanding of environmental concepts, ecological balance, conservation efforts, and environmental issues.
- Indian Polity: Candidates need to have knowledge of the Indian political system, Constitution, important constitutional bodies, and governance structure at the national and state levels.
- Economy: Candidates should have a basic understanding of economic concepts, economic policies, budgeting, banking systems, and major economic indicators.
- Basic Science-Based Knowledge: Candidates should have a basic understanding of scientific principles, discoveries, and inventions. Topics may include physics, chemistry, biology, and general scientific phenomena.
- Science & Technology: Candidates should be aware of recent developments in the field of science and technology, including space research, information technology, and advancements in various scientific disciplines.
- Current Affairs (National & International): Candidates should stay updated with current events and important news related to national and international affairs.
- Defence: Candidates need to have knowledge of the Indian Armed Forces, defense organizations, military operations, and defense-related developments
Verbal Ability in English
- Comprehension: Candidates are tested on their ability to understand and interpret written passages. Questions may be asked on the main idea, supporting details, tone, and theme of the passage.
- Detect Error in Sentence: This section evaluates the candidate’s grammatical knowledge and their ability to identify errors in sentences. Candidates need to spot grammatical mistakes such as subject-verb agreement, tense errors, use of incorrect articles, etc.
- Sentence Completion/Filling in of Correct Word: Candidates are provided with incomplete sentences and are required to select the most appropriate word or phrase to complete the sentence and convey the intended meaning.
- Synonym/Antonym: This section tests the candidate’s vocabulary skills. Candidates need to identify synonyms (words with similar meanings) and antonyms (words with opposite meanings) of given words.
- Cloze Test or Fill in the Gaps in a Paragraph: Candidates are presented with a passage with certain words missing. They need to select the correct words from the options provided to fill in the gaps and maintain the coherence of the passage.
- Idioms and Phrases: Candidates are required to understand and interpret common idiomatic expressions and phrases used in the English language.
- Analogy: This section assesses the candidate’s ability to identify relationships between words or concepts. Candidates need to establish logical connections and find the most suitable analogy.
- Sentence Rearranging: Candidates are given jumbled sentences, and they need to rearrange the words or phrases to form a coherent and meaningful sentence.
- Substitution in a Sentence/One Word Substitution: Candidates need to identify and replace a word or group of words in a sentence with a suitable alternative or find a single word that expresses the same meaning.
- Decimal Fraction: Candidates should have a thorough understanding of decimal numbers and their operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

The standard of Numerical Ability Questions will be of Matriculation level. The standard of questions in other subjects will be of graduation level (Indian University).
