Note: Differently abled candidates and female candidates are not eligible to apply for the post.
AGE LIMIT
18-39. Candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2003 are eligible to apply for this post.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS
Must have at least 165 cm height and must be minimum 81.3 cms round the chest on full exhalation and must have a chest expansion of 5 cms
Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses.
Distant Vision : 6/6 Snellen (Right Eye & Left Eye)
Near Vision : 0.5 Snellen (Right Eye & Left Eye)
Each eye must have a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eye or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification.
Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing.
PHYSICAL TEST
Must qualify in any five events out of the eight events of the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test, as specified below.
(i) 100 Metres Run : 14 seconds
(ii) High Jump : 132.20 cms (4’ 6”)
(iii) Long Jump : 457.20 cms (15’)
(iv) Putting the shot (weight of the shot 7264 gm) : 609.60 cms (20’)
(v) Throwing cricket ball : 6096 cms (200’)
(vi) Rope Climbing (Using hands only) : 365.80 cms (12’)
(vii) Pull-ups or Chinning : 8 times
(viii) 1500 metres run : 5 min 44 seconds
Note: The Physical measurement of candidates will be taken at the time of physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement will not be admitted for the physical efficiency test. If accidents or injuries happened to a candidate while participating in the Physical Efficiency Test, he will not be given further chance to participate in the test. The candidates should produce at the time of Physical Efficiency Test, a Medical Certificate in original in the form prescribed hereunder certifying to their physical fitness and eye sight without glasses. The Medical Certificate should be one obtained from a Medical Officer under the Government not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant and the same shall be uploaded in the OTR Profile by the candidate at time of Certificate Verification.
HOW TO APPLY
Candidates must register as per ONE TIME REGISTRATION with the official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by logging on to their profile using their User- ID and Password. Candidates must click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to apply for a post. The Photograph uploaded should be taken after 31.12.2010. Name of the candidate and the date of photograph taken should be printed legibly at the bottom portion. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of uploading. There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before the final submission of the application on the profile candidates must ensure correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the Commission. Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission. Candidates are advised to keep a printout or soft copy of the online application for future reference. Candidates can take the printout of the application by clicking on the link 'My applications' in their profile. All correspondences with the Commission, regarding the application should be accompanied with the print out of the application. The application will be summarily rejected if non-compliance with the notification is found in due course of processing. Original documents to prove qualification, experience, age, community etc. have to be produced as and when called for.
