RECRUITMENT RALLIES

Recruitment Rallies are conducted from time to time in selected areas/ regions of particular States/ Union Territories of the Country. Advertisement for Rallies are published with details of eligibility condition, selection programme and rally venue in popular local/regional newspapers circulated in the region/area of the rally and also uploaded on website www.airmenselection.cdac.in. For Rally recruitment, eligible candidates are to report to the rally venue with requisite documents. These documents will be scrutinized and verified by the Testing Team. The sequence of examination is as follows :

1. Physical Test

(i) Physical Fitness Test (PFT) {Except IAF(S) trade): Physical Fitness Test (PFT) which consists of a 1.6 Km run is to be completed within 06 minutes 30 seconds. Candidates will also have to complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups and 20 squats within the stipulated time to qualify in the Physical Fitness Test.


(ii) Physical Fitness Test (PFT) {For IAF(S) trade only): The PFT for IAF (Security) trade consists of a 1.6 Km run to be completed within 05 minutes 40 seconds. Candidates will have to complete 08 Chin-ups (The candidate is to hang from a bar with under-grip and pull his body upwards till the chin clears the bar. He is to lower the body until the elbows are completely straight and the body is in the 'dead hanging position), 20 Bent knee Sit-ups and 20 Push-ups (Plank type) to qualify in the PFT.



2.Written Test

All candidates who clear the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) would appear in the written test as per the details given below.


(aa) Group 'X' (Technical) Trades: Candidates are tested in English, Physics and Mathematics as per 10+2 CBSE Syllabus. Duration of written test will be 60 minutes,


(ab) Group 'X' (Education Instructor) Trade: There will be two papers an objective type and a descriptive type. The objective type of paper would cover General English, General Awareness and Current Affairs. The descriptive type of paper would aim to test the language comprehension and power of expression. Both the question papers will be administered in one go with duration of 40 and 35 minutes for objective and descriptive papers respectively.


(ac) Group 'Y' (Non-Technical) Trades: Candidates are tested in English as per 10+2 CBSE Syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA). Duration of written test will be 45 minutes.


(ad) Group" (Musician) Trade: Candidates are tested in English dictation and proficiency to play the musical instrument applied for.


3. Adaptability Test-1 (For both Group 'X' & Group 'Y' Trades):

All candidates who pass the written test will have to undertake Adaptability Test-1 (objective type written test) which is to assess suitability of a candidate for employment in the IAF which involves deployment in varied geographic terrain, weather and operational.conditions


4. Adaptability Test-2 (For both Group 'X' and Group Y' Trades):

All Candidates who pass Adaptability Test-1 will have to undertake Adaptability Test-2 as per policy in vogue. Adaptability Test 2 is to select candidates who can adapt to the environment of Indian Air force and are able to adjust to the military way of life.


5. Dynamic Factor Test (DFT) (For IAF(S) trade only):

All Candidates who pass Adaptability Test-2 will have to undertake Dynamic Factor Test to assess the required qualities to function as IAF (Security) in Indian Air Force.


6.Medical Examination:

Candidates who qualify above tests will be medically examined at designated Medical Boarding Centre (MBC) on specified date. The Medical Examination will be conducted by Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards and existing policy in vogue.


7.Provision Selection List :

Candidates who clear the onlinetest/written test, PFT, Adaptability test-1, Adaptability test-2 and Medical examination would figure in PSL. PSL will be displayed at all the Airmen Selection Centres (ASCs) and CASB web portal www.airmenselection.cdac.in. Inclusion of names of candidates in the PSL depends upon the performance of the candidates in the exam and also subject to medical fitness. Inclusion of name in PSL does not guarantee automatic enrolment. Enrolment is strictly in order of merit subject to medical fitness, availability of vacancies, not exceeding the age of 21 years on date of enrolment and meeting all the laid down eligibility criteria as and when called for enrolment.
