Qualification 

Essential: Graduation in Science from a recognized University preferably in 

Chemistry.

Preferential:- A good record in Sports and Games.

Physical Efficiency Test

 The Physical Efficiency test will be conducted by the commission to assess the physical efficiency of the candidates. Candidates must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items in the physical efficiency test showing the minimum standards of efficiency as noted below.

1. 100 Meters race 14 Seconds

2. High Jump 132.20 cms

3 Long Jump 457.20 cms

4 Putting the Shot (7264 gms) 609.60 cms

5 Throwing the cricket ball 6096 cms

6 Rope Climbing (using hands only) 365.80 cms

7 Pull Up or Chinning 8 times

8 1500 metres race 5 minutes and 44 seconds

Mode of submitting applications

Candidates must register as per ‘ONE TIME REGISTRATION’ with the official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by logging on to their profile using their User-ID and password. Candidates must click on the ‘Apply Now’ button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to applying for a post. The Photograph  uploaded should be one taken on or after 31/12/2010. Name of the candidate and the date of taking photograph should be printed at the bottom portion. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall valid for 10 years from the date of uploading. There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates shall take a printout of the application by clicking the link Registration Card in their profile.Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before the final submission of the application on the profile candidates must ensure correctness of the information on their profile. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the Commission. Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission. The application will be summarily rejected if noncompliance with the notification is found in due course of processing. Documents to prove qualification, Experience, Community, age etc have to be produced as and when called for.

Training

(i) Course of initial training for the prescribed period in the State Fire Service Training School/National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other recognized Fire Service Institution and a pass in the examination in the subjects prescribed for the course, if not already undergone such training and passed the examination

(ii) After the above course, training for an actual period of six months on duty with a fully trained Assistant Divisional Officer/ Station Officer before independent posting to station.

If Written Test/OMR Test/Online Test is conducted as a part of this selection candidate shall submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration Profile. Such candidates alone can generate and download the admission tickets in the last fifteen days till the date of test. The applications of candidate who do not submit confirmation within the stipulated period will be rejected absolutely. The periods regarding the submission of confirmation and the availability of admission tickets will be published in the examination calendar itself. Information in this regard will be given to the candidates in their respective profiles and in the mobile phone number registered in it. Candidates who have downloaded the Admission Ticket will alone be permitted to attend the examination.
